[Worldtrippers home] [World Cruise home]
On May 11, our last day in London, we joined Suzy, Suzy’s brother Paul and Paul’s wife (also named Suzy) to see “ABBA Voyage.” This is an amazing re-creation of a live ABBA concert. The original members had their performance motion-captured, and technologists from Industrial Light and Magic created digital “Abbatar” representations. The show is performed in a purpose-built theater with a live band. We were able to get tickets to this sold-out show several months ago.
We had been looking forward to the ABBA show as a grand finale to our cruise, and it exceeded expectations.
We have enjoyed our stay with Suzy and Ken, and we look forward to seeing them again in July when we return to Greenwich. But now, it is finally time to go home. On May 12, we fly from London back to California. We will stay a few days in the Bay Area to visit family, then drive back up to our mountain house. We bring a ton of suitcases, souvenirs, and lots of new memories.
We will be home for little more than a month. Russell will fly back to Europe on June 20 with our son Joss to begin our next cruise contract. Gail will fly to Wisconsin to visit our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, then join Russell in Europe on July 4.
And that’s a wrap! We hope you have enjoyed reading about our adventures as much as we have enjoyed experiencing them!
